WHAT WILL THEY SEE OF ME?
In a hundred years, what will
become of the multitude of images
and videos we have left of ourselves
in the digital world? Will anything
remain at all? Or will it all have
collapsed into meaninglessness?
This is the question asked by
WHAT WILL THEY SEE OF ME?,
a Jerwood/Film and Video
Umbrella art award and touring
exhibition that explores time’s
dissolving of identity.
The logo captures the essence of
the show by collapsing every letter
of the name into a single, cryptic
symbol – part futuristic glyph,
part ancient rune.
From this one symbol all other
elements of the show’s typography
emerge fleetingly, as if glimpsed
through the layers of time.
